Abstract
The study analysed milk production loss due to vaccination stress among pregnant and non-pregnant crossbred cattle. Pregnant animals exhibited greater sensitivity, to stress with reductions of 10.7% and 11.9% in first and second trimesters, respectively. Loss in milk production (5.57%) was also observed in non-pregnant cows. The overall reduction in milk yield was 7.6%. The findings indicated that FMD vaccination induces transient fever and a short-term decline in milk production, particularly in pregnant animals.
