Our long cherished dream and request has been materialized with the establishment of the Veterinary University in Kerala. Veterinary Universities in other states have been a stimulus for demanding a Veterinary University in our state. There could be various hurdles on the way with regard to the functioning of the University, which is in its infancy right now.

What does the Veterinary University mean to the ordinary Veterinarian in Kerala? How will the University cater to the needs and demands of Veterinary students, Scientists and Teaching staff in various institutes under the university? How will it benefit the farmer and the public in general?

Will it transform Veterinary education in our state? This is the 250th year of Veterinary education world over. What are the challenges before the University and what are the possible outcomes. We invite your views and suggestions on this topic.
