Give the copies of information within 30 days of receipt of the request. Information which need not be given in a vet hospiital is nil or very rare. If u could not give it within 30 days give it free of cost.If the record is not in your office, and you know where it is, then transfer the application to the public information officer of that office within 5 days and inform the applicant also that his request has been transfered to that office.Always take a pro active stand, just give the information asked collecting the required appln fee and copying charges without waiting for 30 days. Whenever you are in doubt do not take a decision without referring the act and its guides published by the central government available in CIC website

Well, Right to Information act do not envisage a question answer session. It just tell the Public Information Officer to give copies of “Information ” he possess in his official capacity. definition of Information is important. “information means any material in any form, including records, documents, memos, e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases, circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts, reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force.” Answer to a question need not be prepared, but it is the copy of any existing material, so we can provide photocopies of the documents from which such answers can be deducted.Just collect Rs 2/ per page and Rs 10/ as application fee and give the photocopies. Govt will get some fund out of it.

NRA can be availed by those who have atleast 10 years of service or who are within 10 years of retirement. Only one NRA is permissible for one purpose, but treatment of diseases at different occassions are considered as different purposes. It has to be applied in form B1. The annexure form detailing the amount credited after the last credit card has to be signed by the treasury officer in the case of Gazetted officers availing NRA. Presently an Asst Director can sanction NRA up to 150000 and DAHO Rs 200000/.(GOP(96/08 dated 23/02/2008

In fact there is no limit at present in case of panchayaths. In municipalities and corporations it is 25000/ for BPL and Rs 16665/ for APL marginal farmers with Animal husbandry as main occupation.
Before 11/07/2008 the percentage and amount of subsidy was as per SGSY norms in rural areas and SJSRY in urban areas. (GO(MS)183/07/LSGD dated 24/07/07.)
Under SGSY (Panchayats):
30% of project cost with a maximum subsidy of Rs 7500/ for individuals under general category. For SC and ST individual beneficiaries 50% of project cost with a maximum of Rs 10000/. There is no limit to total project cost in SGSY. SGSY norms are given in GO(MS) No 187/99 LSGD dated 1/10/1999.
Under SJSRY( Municipalities and Corporations)
15% of the project cost with a maximum of Rs 7500/ per beneficiary. The maximum project cost is Rs 50000/. (GO(MS) 111/98/LAD dated 29/05/2009.)
However for kudumbasree units in urban areas SGSY group subsidy of 50% of project cost with a maximum amount of Rs 125000/ can be given.
But after 11/07/2008 the situation is changed.
As per GO (MS) No 199/2008 LSGD dated 11/07/08 subsidy for BPL is 50% of unit cost to be fixed by DLTAG of each district. The maximum unit cost is Rs 20000/. For marginal farmers with animal husbandry as main occupation, 33 1/3 % of unit cost can be given as subsidy.
So there is no specification of “ maximum subsidy” nor “maximum project cost” in rural areas but only maximum “unit cost” and so as per the existing orders panchayaths can formulate schemes with any number of units for an individual, but limiting the per unit cost at 20000/ or whatever fixed by the DLTAG. But in urban areas the total project cost should be limited to Rs 50000/, that is a maximum of 2.5 units having a unit cost of Rs 20000/
I know it is a little bit confusing, but it is due to the lack of comprehensiveness in present day government orders and we are bound to go by GOs only and not by any body else’s clarifications.
You can have difference of opinion and you are welcome to discuss it.
